Pam Tompkins

pam PRESIDENT and CEO

Pam Tompkins is President and CEO of SET Solutions, LLC. She is a 39-year veteran in the electric utility industry. Pam is a founding member of the USOLN (Utility Safety and Ops Leadership Network) and presently serves on the executive board. She is a regular contributor to the iP magazine and other industry safety journals. As a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers),Pamhas authored and presented technical papers on electric power safety issues at Electric Safety Workshops, national conferences and EFOCG meetings.

Pam worked in the electric utility industry for 22 years and provided electric power safety consulting for the last 17 years throughout North America, Caribbean and Central America. She has supported utilities, contractors and other organizations operating electric power systems in designing and maintaining safety improvement methods and strategies for organizational excellence. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), a Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA) and an OSHA authorized instructor.

Matt Edmonds

mattVICE PRESIDENT, CONSULTING SERVICES

Matt Edmonds is Vice President of SET Solutions, LLC. He is a certified Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and a published author with over 14 years of safety management experience. He is also an OSHA authorized instructor for General Industry and Construction standards. Matt provides specialty safety management services for electric power organizations, construction and general industries throughout the United States. He has been instrumental in the development of training courses designed for electric power organizations including OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses and NFPA 70E electrical training and program development services. Matt presently works with utilities and contractors to provide technical and safety specific training, safety perception surveys, site audits and assessments, Human Performance Training and Assessment, Root Cause Analysis and safety process evaluation and program development.

Kathy Ellsworth

Kathy Ellsworth, CUSP, has 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry and has worked in transmission and delivery as well as nuclear generation. Kathy is experienced in human performance improvement, safety, program assessments and training and she holds a degree in behavioral science. Kathy is dedicated to helping leaders and employees discover the underlying causes of incidents and designing methods of reducing the number and severity of accidents and unwanted events within their companies.

A.J. (Skip) Holloway

A.J. (Skip) Holloway is a Senior Electric Power Safety Associate Consultant of SET Solutions, LLC with over 40 years of electric utility experience. He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and an OSHA authorized instructor. Skip’s professional work experience includes a Senior Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large municipal system with over 250,000 customers, a Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large construction contractor, a Contract Administrator and Vegetation Control Coordinator, a line foreman and a line worker for a large power corporation. Skip provides electric power OSHA training, utility field audits, electric power skills training, incident investigations, switching and tagging training and process development and electric power safety process gap analysis to clients.

 

 

 

Scott Young

ScottASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Scott Young is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and a published substation safety author with over 33 years of electric utility substation experience. Scott began his career as an Apprentice Substation Technician, worked through lead Substation Electrician and advanced to Substation Skills Training Supervisor where he was responsible for training, managing, scheduling and updating a (4) year Electrical Substation Apprenticeship program. While working for an electric utility, Scott was instrumental in the development of a Safe Work Practices Manual for Substation Operations and the production of substation safety videos. Scott presently works with utilities and contractors to provide electric utility technical and safety specific training, specializing in high voltage substation electrical technical training, OSHA compliance training and electric power safety process evaluation and program development.
