This course is designed to teach attendees how to read, interpret and apply regulatory and consensus standards applicable to electric utilities. OSHA 1910.269 (Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution), OSHA 1926 Subpart V (Electric Power Transmission and Distribution), NESC- Part 4 Work Rules (National Electrical Safety Code- latest edition), IEEE- 516 (Guide for Maintenance Methods on Energized Power Lines) and other ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards used by electric utilities.
