SET Solutions offers an in-depth developmental training program, the 'Supervisor Safety Management Series'. Upon completion of all 5 classes a Safety Management certificate will be issued.

Class I
Course Title: So you are the Supervisor! What are your roles in Safety Management?
This course is taught in a one day format and reviews specific safety management roles for each supervisor. Topics include:
- OSHA's role in the prevention and elimination of work related illnesses and injuries.
- Employer and employee rights and responsibilities.
- The process of workplace inspection.
- Practice for efficiently locating information in OSHA standards.
- Be prepared what to expect if your facility is inspected by OSHA, and how to prepare for it.
- Maintain a safe working environment for your employees.
- Determine what's expected of your employees under the OSH Act.
- Keep records that satisfy OSHA requirements and help you build an effective safety program.

Class II
Course Title: Intermediate Safety Management Techniques
This course is taught in a one day format and covers safety management techniques beyond the basics. Topics will include:
- Dynamics of Organizational Safety Culture
- Safety Performance Measurements - beyond measuring “accident rates”
- Defining Roles and Responsibilities
- Determine your role and define line management's safety and health responsibilities.
- Identify leadership strategies that contribute to your success as a supervisor.
- Recognize strategies and steps to create organizational and individual change.
- Enhance your interviewing, consulting and influencing skills to enlist support from key people in your organization.
- Use problem solving and decision making skills to resolve your organization's safety and health issues
- Create an action plan to improve safety management in your organization
- Audits and Inspections as a tool for compliance, excellence and employee involvement
Class III
Course Title: OSHA 10 hour course
This course provides a variety of instruction on the OSHA General Industry safety and health regulations. The purpose of the course is to acquaint participants with the OSHA General Industry standards and answer questions about OSHA procedures. Instructors are authorized by the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) to conduct the training and all students will be issued course completion cards by OTI, The OSHA Training Institute. This course is designed especially for production-oriented people such as plant managers, supervisors, employees and safety teams/committees.
Class IV
Course Title: Safety Training Techniques
Safety Training techniques focuses on the knowledge and skills required to assess your training needs, as well as plan, organize, create, and deliver performance-based safety and health training. This course is an interactive learning experience. Combined with information, numerous group and independent learning activities provide opportunities to apply newly learned concepts to a variety of safety and health training scenarios. During the training, you will:
- Plan and design a training program applicable to your work environment.
- Learn strategies and methods that address adult learning needs.
- Identify training and non-training solutions for safety and health issues
Class V
Course Title: What Every Supervisor needs to Know About Accident Investigation, Workers Compensation and Managing Worker Injuries
This course is taught in a one day format and reviews why accident investigation is a key component in an effective safety program. Participants will learn various methods of conducting root cause analysis and how to properly conduct an incident investigation. Additionally, there will be a review of worker compensation laws so that participants understand how these regulations, which are different than OSHA regulations, can impact how worker injuries are resolved and how they impact their company financially.
