ASPIRE takes a holistic, systems approach to bringing your safety program to the next level. Everyone has a role in safety excellence. It’s not just management’s responsibility. It’s not just the supervisors’ responsibility. It’s not just the employees’ responsibility. It’s everyone actively pursuing the goal and eliminating injuries in a synchronized manner. Maybe you have some management systems in place. Maybe you have avenues for employee participation or even a behavior based safety program. Maybe you require your front line supervision to be involved in safety. But is it a coordinated effort specifically designed to ensure that everyone’s activities are supporting the same goals?

WHAT ASPIRE IS NOT

It’s not a standalone behavior based safety process. It uses elements of behavior based safety to get employees involved in identifying and controlling risks for themselves. It’s not a supervisor safety program – although it has specific activities that supervisors are expected to perform. It’s not another management, top-down safety program. ASPIRE takes an integrated, behavior-based, system safety approach to achieving excellence in safety.

ASPIRE TO LOOK AT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM

ASPIRE uses a systems approach to ensure that everyone is working in a coordinated manner that supports each other. It starts with management making a commitment to achieve the best safety record possible and setting goals to get there. These goals are translated into specific activities that middle manager’s and supervisors must complete in order to achieve these goals. Employees are brought into a participative process that enables them to have a genuine impact on their own safety and that of their co-workers.

HOW DO WE GET STARTED?

We begin with an assessment to find out where your safety programs really is loking at your history, your compliance status, and comparing you to others in a similar activity. We develop a plan to achieve your goals and objectives though getting everyone involved in safety excellence. We train everyone about the plan and what their specific role is. They are given the tools they need to fulfill their role in the plan. Our training will include vision (what are we trying to accomplish), hazard identification, behavioral safety, and new safety tasks, roles, etc. We support the process. Safety excellence doesn't happen overnight. It can get discouraging sometime to not see immediate results. But SET Solutions will be there to help you determine if you're just experiencing the normal curve or need a system correction.
