Pam Tompkins

Pam Tompkins is president and CEO of SET Solutions, LLC. Pam is a 38 year veteran in the electric utility business. Ms. Tompkins is a grassroots leader in the electric power industry and a founding member of USOLN (Utility Safety and Ops Leadership Network) and the CUSP (Certified Utility Safety Professional) designation. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), a Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA) and an authorized OTI (OSHA Training Institute) instructor. Ms. Tompkins is a frequent speaker throughout the US and internationally on Electrical Safety Compliance and industry “best practices” for National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and NFPA 70E. As a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), she has authored and presented IEEE papers on high voltage safety issues. Pam is a regular author for iP (Incident Prevention) magazine, a leading utility industry magazine, and a regular presenter at iP conferences.

Matt Edmonds

Matt EdmondsVICE PRESIDENT, CONSULTING SERVICES

Matt Edmonds is the Vice President of Consulting Services and has over 9 years of field safety management expertise. He has the technical expertise to work with clients to help develop their safety processes. He is a Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), is an authorized OSHA instructor for the general and construction industries and is certified to conduct DOT training classes such as Flagger Training and Work Zone Safety Training. Matt works with clients to develop site specific safety programs/processes and industrial hygiene plans. Matt has helped clients implement industrial hygiene strategies including performing on-site monitoring/sampling and has worked extensively with construction firms to develop, train, implement and manage their safety and industrial hygiene processes.

Kathy Ellsworth

Kathy Ellsworth, CUSP, has 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry and has worked in transmission and delivery as well as nuclear generation. Kathy is experienced in human performance improvement, safety, program assessments and training and she holds a degree in behavioral science. Kathy is dedicated to helping leaders and employees discover the underlying causes of incidents and designing methods of reducing the number and severity of accidents and unwanted events within their companies.

A.J. (Skip) Holloway

A.J. (Skip) Holloway is a Senior Electric Power Safety Associate Consultant of SET Solutions, LLC with over 40 years of electric utility experience. He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and an OSHA authorized instructor. Skip’s professional work experience includes a Senior Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large municipal system with over 250,000 customers, a Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large construction contractor, a Contract Administrator and Vegetation Control Coordinator, a line foreman and a line worker for a large power corporation. Skip provides electric power OSHA training, utility field audits, electric power skills training, incident investigations, switching and tagging training and process development and electric power safety process gap analysis to clients.

 

 

 

Scott Young

ScottASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Scott Young is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and a published substation safety author with over 33 years of electric utility substation experience. Scott began his career as an Apprentice Substation Technician, worked through lead Substation Electrician and advanced to Substation Skills Training Supervisor where he was responsible for training, managing, scheduling and updating a (4) year Electrical Substation Apprenticeship program. While working for an electric utility, Scott was instrumental in the development of a Safe Work Practices Manual for Substation Operations and the production of substation safety videos. Scott presently works with utilities and contractors to provide electric utility technical and safety specific training, specializing in high voltage substation electrical technical training, OSHA compliance training and electric power safety process evaluation and program development.
